6 Month Pictures

I have been doing a lot of practicing with my camera, the pictures are still not perfect, but I have definitely learned the art of photo editing. Enjoy!

Better Late Than Never

We have had so much going on that I have barely had any time to sit down and write. Let me think, where do I start? Well in August Mommy, Daddy, and I went to the Braves game and I got to run the bases afterwards. It was so much fun and at the end I got a certificate and a t-shirt. Here's a picture of my awesome base running skills.

Mommy and Daddy have been going to Georgia games, so AJ and I have been staying with Nana and Papaw on the weekends. We're all going to a game in November, I can't wait, every Saturday I ask if we're going to see the Georgia Bulldogs play! Go Dawgs, Sic 'em!

I love school and all of my new friends. Everyday I learn something new and come home and tell Mommy and Daddy all about it. Sometimes I even show Nuggie what I learned.

I know my ABC's, I can count to 10, and I love singing all the songs we learn in school. (My favorite song combination - "A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Five little monkeys sitting in a tree").

In September I had my first dentist visit with Dr. Hooper and I did AWESOME! And I got a bag of goodies at the end too! Here's me getting my teeth worked on.

A few weeks ago we added a new puppy to our family and we named her Ellie; isn't she the cutest?

Mommy, Nana, Aunt Becky, Nuggie, and I went to the Oconee Fall Festival last weekend and I played in the corn box, my most favorite thing ever. I'm still trying to convince Daddy that I need one, so we'll see. Maybe I should ask Santa for one, maybe he can add it to my playset as an upgrade for Christmas?

After the Fall Festival, Mommy, Daddy, AJ, and I headed to Rocky Ridge Farms in Lexington to pick out pumpkins for Halloween. I can't wait to carve them this week, mine is going to be Mickey Mouse! Here's a few pictures from our adventures.

Having a 3 year old temper-tantrum!

Loving on my brother!

My reaction!

Running back up to ride the giant slide.

Mommy, Nana, and I also went to the Yellow River Game Ranch again, where I got to feed deer, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, bears, and buffalo. I also got to see the cougar that tried to go after me last year, but luckily this time he was behind a bigger fence.

Here's a few more pictures of some of our adventures.

We'll add more after Halloween and the UGA football game.

Love you all, Connor & Ayden

My First Day of School

I started preschool this year at Mars Hill Preschool Academy and I absolutely love it. Here are a few pictures of my first day.

I am in Ms. Sherry and Ms. Donna's class and I go five days a week. Daddy takes me each morning and picks me up after lunch and takes me back to Ms. Mary's with Nuggie where I take a nap and then Mommy picks us up after work. I love school and can't wait to go back each day.

Every week we learn a Bible verse and get a prize at the end of the week if we memorize it. So far I have I learned most of them - there's just a few that get me!
I can't wait to tell you all about my adventures in school this year!

Love, Connor

3 Month Pictures

Mommy got a new camera before I was born, but really wasn't sure how to operate it in manual, so a few weeks ago, she took a class by Carrie Tabb (www.carrietabbphotography.com) and has been practicing ever since. Another reason for taking the class, was that Daddy had told her that she has a nice, new camera and that she could take my 3, 6, and 9 month pictures instead of paying someone else to do them!

So after a few weeks of practicing, this is what Mommy has been able to capture of me at 3 months and what she has been altering on Picnik . . .

On July 4th weekend, Nana and Papaw came over and Nana helped Mommy take some other pictures of me. It was a long afternoon and I was cranky from being both tired and hungry and they wouldn't leave me alone, but some of the pictures turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself!

They thought the picture above, of me playing hide and seek in the toy basket was hilarious! What do you think?

This is how I felt, when everything was over!

I hope you liked seeing my 3 month pictures, there will definitely be more to come.

Talk to ya'll soon!

Love, Ayden XOXOXOXO

The Beach and Beyond

Before school got out for Mommy, we celebrated Ayden's baptism at our church, Christ the Lord Lutheran. Both Aunt Jillian and Uncle Scott came since they are our Godparents. The pictures at the top are from the service and the pictures at the bottom are from afterwards.

We've been having so much fun already this summer. Grandpa Dennis and Molly (his dog) came to visit us for the weekend and I absolutely loved having them both here with us. Next summer Grandpa Dennis said that he would take me on his boat and teach me how to fish, I can't wait! During his visit we also put Ayden in the water for the first time, Mommy says he did better than I did the first time I got in the water, but I think she's crazy. Here are some pictures of both of our first times, what do you think, did I do better or did he?

Earlier this month, we went down to Tybee Island for vacation. We went down last year and had so much fun, that we decided to head back down there for another week.

Every morning, we would get up, load our bikes down with all of our beach stuff, and head for the beach. Once we got there Mommy and Ayden would continue riding down the beach, while Daddy and I hit the water. When they got back Mommy and Daddy would get the umbrella set up for Ayden and then they would take turns playing with me in the water and on the beach. If you were on Tybee beach early in June, this is what you probably saw when you walked on the beach . . .

What do ya think? Did we have it made or what? Ayden loved the beach, they would prop him up on towels and within a few minutes he scooted down so that he could put his feet in the sand and play. He would have to get changed when we would get back home, since he would have so much sand in his clothes and diaper.

Daddy would bring his "surfboard" (body board) and we would play on it everyday. Sometimes I would ride on it and he would pull me through the waves crashing on the beach, other times, he and I would ride the waves in the ocean.

After we would play at the beach all morning, we would head back to the house to eat lunch and take a nap. After our naps we would get our bathing suits back on and head back to the beach, only this time without our bikes. We would set up on another part of the beach, Nuggie (that's what we call Ayden, it's short for Nugget) would lay under the umbrella and I would play in the water. Mommy did take Ayden to the water a few times, but he didn't really think it was as much fun as I did.

One afternoon, before we went back to the beach, we went on a Dolphin Watching boat ride. I love, love, loved it! It was so much fun and it was my first time on a boat. Nuggie slept the whole time, so he didn't see much, but Mommy, Daddy, and I got to see lots of dolphins, big container ships, and even the Little Tybee Lighthouse. The ride lasted for a little over an hour, but after about 45 minutes, I was done, unfortunately I couldn't get off the boat, so I was a little fussy towards the end, but overall I had a great time.

Mommy wanted us to get a good family picture on the beach, so the last day we were there, after breakfast at the Breakfast Club, we headed to the beach for a family photo, unfortunately it didn't turn out like Mommy wanted, not to mention the fact that as soon as the picture snapped, I would race Mommy to the camera to see it. These are a few of our attempts . . .

and here is the winning family beach picture of 2011 and it was taken after we had been to the beach one afternoon and were leaving to head back to the house.

We had so much fun and Ayden and I can't wait to got back again next year. Mommy and Daddy are thinking about running in the Tybee Turtle Trot, in April, so maybe we'll be back sooner!

Yes, I'm in my underwear! How else do you expect me to play on the beach when we leave my swimsuit at home?

Love you, Connor (& Ayden)
