Running around like a crazy man that's where!
So let's start at Halloween. After we picked out our pumpkin at Washington Farms, we took it home to carve it. Daddy cut out the top and I got to help him clean it out. However, after about two times of sticking my hand into the goop I decided that I would help by feeding it to Sable instead of sticking my hand into the pumpkin.
We went to Nana's house to Trick or Treat because they live in a neighborhood and people actually come to their house to Trick or Treat unlike at our house. Guess what I was . . . I was a member of the Lollipop Guild from the Wizard of Oz!
How cute are my little horns? Mommy and Nana had a difficult time getting them to stick up because I had just had my hair cut and my short hair wasn't wanting to stick up properly. When they finally got it all sticking up right, I rubber my hand over it to feel them and they got mushed back down. Luckily the goo was still a little damp and they were able to restyle it before we left. Unfortunately it was starting to rain as we were heading out the door, but luckily Nana's neighbor had a huge umbrella that we were all able to get under, including me with my wagon.
Here's a picture of me as we're leaving Nana's drive way, it was just starting to sprinkle. When we got back however, I was slightly wet and Mommy was really wet from having to carry me up to the door and back. Daddy got me undressed and warmed back up so that I could sort through my candy. I got lots a good candy, including suckers, my favorite (Thanks - Nana)! The next day I got to play in the leaves that Daddy had just cleaned up from the big red maple in the center of the drive way (Grandma Lynne's Maple). I had an absolute blast falling in them, throwing them up in the air, and transfering them from one place to another in my dump truck from Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Bunny.
For Thanksgiving we went over to Nana and Papaw's, our new family tradition, to celebrate with Aunt Becky, Taylor, Shelby, Uncle Tim, Aunt Debbie, and Uncle Bruce. I got to sit at the kid's table with Taylor and Shelby, but halfway through dinner I went to sit with Mommy and Daddy and eat off their plates :) After dinner I got to go out and sit on Uncle Bruce's motorcycle. I wasn't really impressed at first, as you can see, but once they showed me where the horn was and I could make it go "Beep, Beep" I loved it!
The next morning Mommy, Nana, and Aunt Becky all got up to go shopping really early, but Daddy and I stayed in the bed. Luckily, I didn't have to go and "fight" the crowds with Mommy, but she tells me we're going after Christmas - oh, no!I went and saw Santa right before Thanksgiving, but it wasn't a pretty sight. I liked him from far away and waved to him and said hey, but when it came down to sitting on his lap I freaked out and started screaming. I didn't really think Mommy and Daddy would leave me alone with him! Daddy rescued me though and my tears cleared immediately and I even waved bye-bye to Santa and blew him a kiss.Since the first pictures didn't turn out so well Mommy, Nana, and I went to eat breakfast with Santa a couple of weeks ago at Church. At first I wasn't so sure of him, but then he started talking to me about "beep, beeps" (cars, trucks, anything with wheels) I decided he was pretty cool and so I sat on his lap. Granted Mommy had to sit right next to me, but it wasn't so bad. I kept running by him and smiling and touching his knee. You know he's not so bad after all, maybe next year I won't even cry when I see him!
The other weekend Mommy put up our Christmas tree, here's a picture of me helping with the lights.
We took our family pictures for our Christmas cards the other day, what do you think?
Here's one with the whole gang!
Well, it's almost time for bed and I've got to get my jammies on so that we can read Goodnight Moon (my favorite book!). I promise it won't be so long before I write again. I love you all and hope that you have a wonderful Christmas and that Santa brings you everything on your list (I'm hoping for a Power Wheels). Talk to ya'll soon!Love, Connor XOXO
