Happy 2nd Birthday, Connor!

Connor,
Your Daddy and I just wanted to wish you a Happy 2nd Birthday. These past two years with you have been the best two years that we've both had. You have brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives and I know that as each year passes you will continue to do so.

You are growing into such a little man, it seems like just yesterday we were bringing home a tiny, little brand new baby boy and here you are already two. We have loved watching you grow and discover new things each and every day. Each day is a new adventure.

You are the sweetest, most loving little boy and we both love you with all of our hearts!

Love, Mommy and Daddy XOXOXOXO

Welcome to 2010 Everyone!

Well Christmas was a blast and I got lots of great things.

We spent Christmas Eve at Nana and Papaw's with everybody, but I wasn't feeling very good so we didn't make it to church that night for the Christmas Eve service. I was cutting teeth and had a temperature of 101 and was not being cooperative so Mommy and Daddy took me home instead.

When we got home Christmas Eve, Mommy and I put Santa's cookies, milk and the reindeer treats out on the table. However, Mommy let me pick out the cookies to put on the plate and I decided that I needed to taste test for Santa before he got here. Here's a picture of me picking out Santa's cookies - they sure were yummy!

I got up pretty early Christmas morning, but Mommy, Daddy, and I lounged in bed for a little bit before we got up and went to open presents. When I rounded the corner into the living room the first thing I saw was a big PowerWheels truck that Santa brought me. I was so excited that I yelled "beep, beep" and ran over to it. I tried to look at myself in the mirrors, like Mommy does, but I couldn't see myself in them. Daddy put me in and showed me how to make it go, but I was a little scared and wanted out immediately. I still haven't gotten back in it yet, but Mommy and Daddy both rode on it and I do enjoy trying to look at myself in the mirror, so maybe one day I'll get back in it. Santa also brought me a TagJunior book reader, some blocks, books, and cars, lots of cars!

After we ate breakfast and got cleaned up Nana, Papaw, Aunt Becky, Taylor, and Shelby came over to eat Christmas lunch and open presents. We had lots of good food and I loved getting to spend time with everyone, especially since I was feeling much better. Nana and Papaw bought me a Handy Manny doll with tools and a visor that looks like his, a Chuck the Talking truck with a hard-hat, and some jammies. Aunt Becky gave a blanket with Cars "beep, beeps" on it that I absolutely love and sleep with everynight. I was so tired when everyone left that afternoon that I slept for over three hours! Here's some more Christmas pictures for you to enjoy!

The New Year has been great so far. I get to hang out with my friends all day at Ms. Mary's and come home and spend time with Mommy, Daddy, Ava, Sable, the Ditties (kitties), and the Goaps (goats). Our goaps have even started having goap babies and I love to go out and play with them. For a while I had a slight obsession with oin-oinks (pigs), but since the goap babies have been born I am diggin' them now. I tell Mommy everyday on our way home that "I wanna go baby goaps" which means that I can't wait to get home and get my boots on and go see my babies. I also have been helping out at the house more, doing some chores. I help put the dog bowls up at night and I go out and help feed the goaps.

My birthday's coming up soon and right now we're trying to decide between choo-choos and Mamniy (Handy Manny) - maybe we can have a Mamniy Choo-Choo party???? I'll have to throw that one at Mommy and see what she says. Well, I'm off to play with my goaps - love you all!

Connor XOXOXOXO

Santa's Almost Here? Where Have I Been?

Running around like a crazy man that's where!

So let's start at Halloween. After we picked out our pumpkin at Washington Farms, we took it home to carve it. Daddy cut out the top and I got to help him clean it out. However, after about two times of sticking my hand into the goop I decided that I would help by feeding it to Sable instead of sticking my hand into the pumpkin.

We went to Nana's house to Trick or Treat because they live in a neighborhood and people actually come to their house to Trick or Treat unlike at our house. Guess what I was . . . I was a member of the Lollipop Guild from the Wizard of Oz!

How cute are my little horns? Mommy and Nana had a difficult time getting them to stick up because I had just had my hair cut and my short hair wasn't wanting to stick up properly. When they finally got it all sticking up right, I rubber my hand over it to feel them and they got mushed back down. Luckily the goo was still a little damp and they were able to restyle it before we left. Unfortunately it was starting to rain as we were heading out the door, but luckily Nana's neighbor had a huge umbrella that we were all able to get under, including me with my wagon.
Here's a picture of me as we're leaving Nana's drive way, it was just starting to sprinkle. When we got back however, I was slightly wet and Mommy was really wet from having to carry me up to the door and back. Daddy got me undressed and warmed back up so that I could sort through my candy. I got lots a good candy, including suckers, my favorite (Thanks - Nana)! The next day I got to play in the leaves that Daddy had just cleaned up from the big red maple in the center of the drive way (Grandma Lynne's Maple). I had an absolute blast falling in them, throwing them up in the air, and transfering them from one place to another in my dump truck from Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Bunny.

For Thanksgiving we went over to Nana and Papaw's, our new family tradition, to celebrate with Aunt Becky, Taylor, Shelby, Uncle Tim, Aunt Debbie, and Uncle Bruce. I got to sit at the kid's table with Taylor and Shelby, but halfway through dinner I went to sit with Mommy and Daddy and eat off their plates :) After dinner I got to go out and sit on Uncle Bruce's motorcycle. I wasn't really impressed at first, as you can see, but once they showed me where the horn was and I could make it go "Beep, Beep" I loved it!
The next morning Mommy, Nana, and Aunt Becky all got up to go shopping really early, but Daddy and I stayed in the bed. Luckily, I didn't have to go and "fight" the crowds with Mommy, but she tells me we're going after Christmas - oh, no!

I went and saw Santa right before Thanksgiving, but it wasn't a pretty sight. I liked him from far away and waved to him and said hey, but when it came down to sitting on his lap I freaked out and started screaming. I didn't really think Mommy and Daddy would leave me alone with him! Daddy rescued me though and my tears cleared immediately and I even waved bye-bye to Santa and blew him a kiss.

Since the first pictures didn't turn out so well Mommy, Nana, and I went to eat breakfast with Santa a couple of weeks ago at Church. At first I wasn't so sure of him, but then he started talking to me about "beep, beeps" (cars, trucks, anything with wheels) I decided he was pretty cool and so I sat on his lap. Granted Mommy had to sit right next to me, but it wasn't so bad. I kept running by him and smiling and touching his knee. You know he's not so bad after all, maybe next year I won't even cry when I see him!

The other weekend Mommy put up our Christmas tree, here's a picture of me helping with the lights.

We took our family pictures for our Christmas cards the other day, what do you think?

Here's one with the whole gang!

Well, it's almost time for bed and I've got to get my jammies on so that we can read Goodnight Moon (my favorite book!). I promise it won't be so long before I write again. I love you all and hope that you have a wonderful Christmas and that Santa brings you everything on your list (I'm hoping for a Power Wheels). Talk to ya'll soon!

Love, Connor XOXO

What We've Been Up To Lately

So here are the pictures I promised . . .

This is me chowing down on some spaghetti and meatballs, don't you just love my tomato beard?

My new favorite place is the inside of Daddy's truck, well actually the inside of any car will do, but I love Daddy's the best!

Last weekend we went to Washington Farms in Watkinsville to pick out pumpkins for Halloween. Before we picked out our pumpkins though, I got to go play with all the animals in the petting zoo. Here I am "mooing" at a Holstein calf; I tried to pet him, but he was too far away.

I discovered chickens while we were at the petting zoo, but none of them would stay still so that I could catch them, so I just chased them instead.

Mommy and I rode the Cow Train before we picked out pumpkins.

Here I am helping Daddy load the pumpkins into the wheelbarrow. At first I was riding in the wheelbarrow, but when they put the pumpkin in I had a fit, so I got to get out and walk around instead. The little one that I am putting in, is one that I got to pick out, however, I kept wanting to throw it like a baseball on the ground.

Today, I went for my first haircut. I was not impressed, as you can tell, but in the end I came out looking cuter than I did before!

I can't wait to show you what I'm going to be for Halloween. Mommy will post pictures as soon as she takes them. See you all soon!

Love you, Connor XOXOXO

Spending Time with the Folks

So Fall is finally here and we are spending much more time outside than we did during the hot Summer. Mommy and Daddy have been going to Georgia Bulldog football games and I have been hanging out with Nana and Papaw.

During the summer I was a talking machine, I said things like Mommy, Daddy, car, truck, Ava, kitty, dog, goat, go, cracker, milk, more, and a few others, but when Mommy went back to work and I went back to Mrs. Mary's I got a little upset and stopped talking. When I got upset at Ms. Mary's I took my frustration out on a few of my friends there and bit them on the arms (hey before you go thinking I was the only one causing problems, you've got to understand that they were trying to take my toys away from me and I had to retaliate). I got in a lot of trouble and I even got put in time out a few times. Since I have gotten back into the rhythm of things and have started talking a little more, I haven't spend much time in time out, thank goodness.

I have starting saying a few more things, my standby words were always Daddy, Mommy, Ava, and kitty, but I have added on a little more and even learned a little sign language, too. When I stopped talking Mommy taught me "more" in sign language, so I use that one all the time and I am evening saying "more" occasionally when they can't see me sign. I love going outside, so I have also started saying "go outside" as well. Mommy finally figured out what I was saying yesterday afternoon, when I repeated her with "gau owshch" when she asked me if I wanted to go outside after my nap. I still have a ways to go, but my words are getting clearing, easier to understand, and I'm beginning to say a few more words each day.

So I had this things with cell phones, basically any time I saw one, I had to have it. Daddy always let me have his, but I "killed" a few and they cut me off. I got to keep old cell phones of theirs, but what fun is a phone that you can't press buttons and make noises and different screens come on? However, my addiction got so bad that Mommy and Daddy (especially Daddy - I liked his blue phone a lot) couldn't even talk on the phone while I was around because I would just throw a fit to have the phone. So when Mommy got a new phone, they decided to cut me off cold turkey - the first two days I screamed and tried to climb the counters to get at the phone stash (there's always three up on the counter, I just don't understand why I couldn't have just 1?), but they were persistent and I have pretty much broken the addiction. . . well almost, I had a phone attack yesterday afternoon, but they ignored my tantrum and I found something else to do.

Just wanted to give ya'll a quick update, I'll post some pictures later this week.
Love you all, Connor XOXOXO

Wow - I thought summer just started . . .

So here we are getting ready for Mommy to go back to work, which means I head back to Ms. Mary's to see all of my friends. I have had a great summer; I went to swimming lessons, Gymboree, we went to Florida, and I even made some new friends.

The last time we talked we were getting ready for our trip to Florida to see Grandpa Charlie, Grandma Bunny, Grandpa Dennis, and Aunt Cindy. We had a great time, I can't say the ride there was fun, but I definitely got to see a lot of things in middle Georgia. The night we left Mommy and Daddy put me to bed and woke me up at midnight to put me in the car. I had had a little sleep behind me, so I stayed awake for about three hours just watching everything as we passed it in the car. We got to Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Bunny's early the next morning. That was pretty cool, I mean I fall asleep in Georgia and wake up in a completely different state. Florida was a lot like Georgia except we seemed to have rain every afternoon and it made it a little hotter when it was over. The first thing we did was get into the pool, I had had swimming lessons, so I was ready to go. Here's a picture of us in their pool, don't we look like we should have a pool, too! I did try to talk Mommy and Daddy into one, but they said that my baby pool would have to do for now, darn. I spent a lot of time in the pool, while we were at Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Bunny's, I absolutely couldn't get enough of the water. We did go to the beach the second day we were there, however, I am not a beach lover like my Daddy. I wasn't happy walking in the sand and I wasn't happy with my shoes on either because the sand kept getting into my shoes, as long as someone carried me I was happier. The trip to the beach wasn't that much fun, mostly because I had a low grade fever the entire time and I had a dang molar trying to break it's way though my gum. I did get into the water a couple of times with Mommy and Daddy, but mostly I preferred being on the beach blanket and I was even happier when Mommy and Daddy took off my wet bathing suit and put me in a dry diaper. This is us when we first got into the ocean, as you can see I'm not the happiest kid right now.
Here is me and Grandpa Charlie hanging out on the beach, isn't that the best chair ever? Thanks for my awesome chair Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Bunny!
We had a great time in Sarasota, we went biking a few times, here's a picture of me helping Daddy get the bike tires pumped up for our first trip around Lakewood Ranch.

Grandma Bunny was great with getting lots of pictures of the three of us, here we are getting ready to go biking, I'm the cute one in the bike pod :)
We biked throughout all of the Country Club where Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Bunny live and we even made it out to the big road that runs through Lakewood Ranch before Mommy and Daddy realized it would take us even longer to get back the way we were going so we turned back a round. A bunch of people bike out there and bikers dressed like Lance Armstrong kept passing us, at first it made us all jump when they went past, but we got use to it.

On our last full day there we met up with Aunt Diane and Uncle Peter in Tampa and went to the Lowrey Park Zoo. That was my first trip the zoo and I had a ton of fun. My fever finally broke the night before, so I was in a much better mood than I had been in earlier that week. My favorite was the touch tank with the stingrays, I loved playing in the water and having them swim under my fingers. Here's a picture of me and Mommy playing with the stingrays.

I got to see tons and tons of animals at the zoo. I really liked seeing the manatees and fish under water, so Mommy and Daddy are going to take me to the Georgia Aquarium later this fall. The other really cool thing I got to do was pet a llama. Here's all of us with the llama. I tried to grab onto her right after the picture was taken, but no one would let me. I think a llama ride would have been fun :)

The next day we packed up and headed to the Atlantic coast to see Grandpa Dennis and Aunt Cindy. After dinner we went over to see Daddy's friend Steve from high school. We were out on his back porch when I discovered the pool. I was already in fully clothed before Mommy could stop me, so she took off all my clothes and let me play in the water while Daddy and Steve talked. We stayed in a hotel that night, so Mommy took me back to bed and Daddy stayed at Steve's a while longer. I slept great that night, but Mommy and Daddy said they didn't. I don't understand why they didn't like the light and music show that I get to watch every night; I love Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star! The next day we went to Roz and Woody's house, they are old friends of my Grandma Lynne and have watched over Daddy for a long time. They let me have lots of bananas and I got to play with their big fluffy kitties.

That afternoon before dinner Daddy went back over to his friend Steve's house, while Mommy and I stayed with Grandpa Dennis and Aunt Cindy. I got hungry right before dinner, so Aunt Cindy gave me some cheese, however some of it landed in my hair, as you can see.

No one could understand that I was trying to save it for later.

After dinner we finished packing the truck and headed back to Georgia. I watched Aladdin for about an hour before I fell asleep. When I woke up we were home, it was like magic! I had a great time in Florida and I loved seeing everyone. Hopefully we'll go back down there soon!

These last few weeks of summer have flown by and now I am heading back to see Ms. Mary and all of my buddies. I have learned a new word, Ava. Mommy and Daddy giggle when I say it because they say it sounds like "Ada." They might need to clean their ears out because I am clearly saying "Ava!" I just started a new Gymboree class and I am loving it already and Daddy is going to get to take me a few classes this month which is even better!!!

Well that's it for now, I'll talk to you all soon! Love you, Connor XOXO

*** On a side note: It has taken me a while to get this posted; since school started I haven't had much time :) Just an update on the little man, he is saying words only when he wants - on Friday all he said was Daddy and Kitty and on Sunday all he would say was Mommy and Ava. He's starting the terrible twos a little early I think! He did learn a few new words last weekend when he was at Nana and Papaw's, they taught him Papaw, Becky, and Bailey; Mom tried in vain to get him to say Nana, but all he would do was grin at her. I guess it's payback for what I use to do to my Aunt Becky.

Can you believe it's summer already? Can you believe it's halfway over?

So summer's here and I'm getting to spend all of it with my Mommy and Daddy, yeah! My summer has been full already with swimming lessons, going to Gymboree, playing outside, and playing with everyone and everything at the house.

I've started using a fork and spoon, sometimes however it's just easier to use my fingers though; it's also easier to use whichever utensil Mommy's using at the time too, her's seem to work better than mine. Sometimes Daddy or Mommy have to help me get my food on my fork before I can eat with it, I don't exactly have that "stabbing" thing down yet. Here is a picture of the first time I used a spoon to feed myself, as you can see I still get a little messy even with a utensil :)

Swimming lessons are okay, I like the water, but after about 20 minutes I'm done being in the water and I want to run around and be a little social butterfly, which is a bad thing since the lessons are 30 minutes long. We started off in the evening classes, but had to switch to the morning classes due to a "scheduling conflict" at the YMCA. Evening classes kept me away from dinner and Daddy could come to them too and morning classes keep me from a morning snooze and only Mommy gets to come to them, so I guess it's a drawl! I have to wear a baby speedo to the pool so there's no "situations" as they like to call them at the YMCA. Here's a picture of me modeling my baby speedo one day when I was out by my baby pool.

Here's some pics of me amd Mommy in the pool at swim lessons. I really like jumping, or I should say sliding into the pool. I also like singing the Duck song and then throwing my duck in the water and going to chase him.

Daddy was able to make it to my last swimming lesson, so here's some pictures of us in the water.

So I'm pretty much the man at Gymboree and I really think they should rename it Connoree, but my peeps are in touch with their peeps, so we'll see how that goes. The coolest thing about Gymboree though is that when everyone there sings songs, they're actually singing for me. Whenever they start singing I can't help myself, I get into the middle of the circle and I just start dancing. Mommy has to constantly chase me around because there's just so much to do and see that nothing really keeps my attention for long. Well, the bubbles do keep my attention, however the lady that blows the bubbles won't let me help and those other little kids seem to get in my way of popping the bubbles so sometimes I accidentally run them over. But, hey when the song lady tells you to pop the bubbles, you pop the bubbles! The other activity that can really keep my attention is the parachute. We go for rides on the parachute, then it goes up and down on our faces while we sing, it's awesome. Mommy and Daddy bought me a round tube that we tuck a sheet in and I ride around in the tube, it's just like at Gymboree, I absolutely love it :)

The other day I had to go to the Emergency Room, luckily though I didn't have to have stitches. We were outside because Daddy had just gotten home from work and the dogs were very excited and thought he was going to throw the ball for them when in reality he was handing it to me to throw. Well, Sable got really excited and ran towards the yard and when she did she knocked me into the door hinge outside and my head started bleeding. Since it was a head wound and it as bleeding, Mommy and Daddy decided it was best if we went to the hospital. By the time we got there I was fine and there was no more blood, but we went in anyway. The nurse checked me out and then the doctor came in, however I had a fit and he decided it wasn't very bad and that it would more traumatic if I were to get stitches, so everyone luckily agreed that there would be no stitches. However, this mean nurse came in and had to clean my head; it didn't hurt, it was just really cold and I didn't like it much. Here's a picture of the wound, it was the best Mommy could do, since I wouldn't let her really look, I was afraid she was going to put more cold stuff on it.

We got a new kitty right before summer, Mommy and Daddy decided to call him LB for Little Buster, since he looks like a cat that they use to have named Buster. I absolutely love him to death, I really like to carry him around by either the tail or the skin, they both make great handles! His brother, Bailey, lives with Nana and Papaw, but I don't like him as much as my "cadie" (that's how Mommy says I say kitty), he won't really play with me, he just kind of runs away.
Well that's it for now. This next week is the 4th of July and Nana and Papaw are coming to watch the Colbert Parade with us and then the next week we are heading to Florida to see Grandpa Charlie, Grandma Bunny, and Grandpa Dennis so I'll have more stories soon. Oh, Mommy wanted me to tell you that she'll have some swimming videos posted soon!

Love you all, Connor (XOXO)
